We are currently hiring a Full time and part-time Personal Attendant to join our Capability Community Services Team in Dunnville. Our Capability Dunnville team provides outreach support to vulnerable individuals living in the community and also to Maple Grove Place, a 24-hour assisted living program located in Dunnville.

Our community programs operate 7 days a week and we currently offer a variety of shifts and flexible scheduling including days, afternoons, and nights. This position includes every other weekend and statutory holidays.

Positions Available:

Personal Attendant

This position is responsible for providing non-medical personal support services, life-skills support and light housekeeping duties to enable clients to remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible.  Duties include assisting clients with personal care, arranging and escorting clients to appointments, and housekeeping services. Personal Support Worker certificate is not required but is considered an asset.

Under the direction of the program supervisor, this position is responsible for regular monitoring and provision of support to clients to enable them to remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible.  Duties include monitoring, observing, assisting with and participating in housekeeping and homemaking activities, recreational and social activities.  Such duties are carried out under the direction of the client or alternate decision maker and in accordance with Client Service Contracts, laws and regulations governing service provision.   

 Employment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Courses relating to personal support services for persons with disabilities or seniors, health & safety, first aid, physical and emotional needs of persons is an asset
  • Experience providing support for persons with disabilities or seniors on a paid or voluntary basis either in a work setting or through personal life experiences is beneficial, but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
