We are currently hiring Full Time and Part Time Home Support Workers/Personal Attendants to join our Community Services Teams in the Hamilton Area!

AbleLiving Services and Capability Support Services operate out of the Hamilton and Burlington areas offering home to home outreach services, supportive housing programs, and shared-lived programs. Some positions require access to a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license.

Position Summary: Home Support Worker/Personal Attendant

This position is responsible for providing non-medical personal support services, life-skills support and light housekeeping duties to enable clients to remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible.  Duties include assisting clients with personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping services. Personal Support Worker certificate is not required but is considered an asset. We welcome candidates with any previous caregiving experience.

Employment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Courses relating to personal support services for persons with disabilities or seniors, health & safety, first aid, physical and emotional needs of persons is an asset, but not required.
  • Experience providing support for persons with disabilities or seniors on a paid or voluntary basis either in a work setting or through personal life experiences is beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

Job Types: Full time and part time

Positions that require a vehicle to visit clients in their homes may be required to travel anywhere within the City of Hamilton. This position offers flexible hours and to reduce driving time, you may be assigned a schedule working within specific postal code areas.
